Tech stack & purpose

Base Web is a React component library implementing the Base design system, providing modern, responsive, living components built with React, Styletron for styling, and TypeScript support. The library is maintained by Uber and includes several complementary tools: a codemod package for automating migrations between major versions, an ESLint plugin for identifying deprecated APIs and improper component usage, and a VS Code extension offering code snippets, color visualization, and documentation lookup features. The project encompasses a wide range of UI components and utilities, including layout components, phone input with international country code support, icon generation, and comprehensive theming capabilities.
