The agent-toolkit-for-aws is an official AWS-supported collection of Model Context Protocol servers, skills, and plugins designed to help AI agents build on AWS. The toolkit covers multiple problem domains including DevOps and security operations (with skills for incident investigation, code review, release testing, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing), general AI agent development on AWS (from scaffolding through production hardening using Amazon Bedrock AgentCore), data engineering and analytics (spanning data lake operations, discovery, vector storage, and external connectivity), and core AWS infrastructure management. Built primarily as plugins for Claude Code and Codex, the toolkit is written in TypeScript and Python, integrates with AWS services via the AWS MCP Server and AgentCore CLI, and requires Node.js 20+, Python 3.11+, and AWS CLI credentials for operation.
