Tech stack & purpose

Nomic is a decentralized custody engine for Bitcoin built as a blockchain that mints nBTC, a token backed 1:1 with Bitcoin. The project is constructed on top of Turbofish's Orga, a custom high-performance blockchain application framework, and uses IBC (Inter-Blockchain Communication) protocol to enable secure bridging between Bitcoin and other IBC-enabled blockchains. Nomic is an open-source project maintained by the Nomic DAO Foundation and welcomes community contributions through GitHub.
