SDD Tools Orchestration for AI-assisted development: governed discovery, specification, planning, implementation, and architecture verification across Spec Kit, OpenSpec, and Markdown workflows.
Architecture Guard is a technology-agnostic SDD (Specification-Driven Development) orchestration layer designed to keep AI-generated code aligned with established architecture, specifications, and delivery workflows. It addresses the problem domain of AI-assisted engineering by constraining how AI agents like Claude Code and Gemini operate, forcing them to validate plans against architecture rules and check historical decisions before generating code. The project works with existing SDD tools including OpenSpec and Spec Kit, or adapts to generic Markdown workflows, and is built with Markdown-based governance commands, npm tooling for installation and orchestration, and SonarLint rule bundles for code quality scanning. Architecture Guard was created as a standalone tool published on npm and is designed to orchestrate the full delivery cycle from discovery through specification, planning, implementation, and verification while preventing architectural drift and code duplication.
