Young Serif is a variable old style serif typeface developed by NoirBlancRouge Type Foundry, an independent type foundry based in Paris founded by Bastien Sozeau. The typeface draws inspiration from fonts like Plantin Infant and ITC Italian Old Style, featuring distinctive rounded curves in the lowercase b and f characters. The project is built using OpenType font technology and is distributed as open-source under the SIL Open Font License, with automated builds managed through GitHub Actions and quality assurance testing performed using FontBakery.
