Tech stack & purpose

Bricolage Grotesque is an expressive variable font designed by Mathieu Triay of Atelier Triay, offering adjustable weight, width, and optical size axes. The project evolved from a fork of the open-source Mayenne Sans font, blending historical references from French and British grotesque typeface designs with contemporary sans serif aesthetics and ink trap techniques. Built using a GitHub Actions workflow, the font is tested with FontBakery for quality assurance and is distributed under the SIL Open Font License.
