Tech stack & purpose
OpenCode is a Go-based terminal UI application that brings AI-powered coding assistance to developers' command lines. It integrates with multiple AI providers including OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, AWS Bedrock, Groq, Azure OpenAI, and OpenRouter, allowing users to interact with various language models directly from their terminal. Built with Bubble Tea for the terminal interface and SQLite for persistent storage, OpenCode provides features like session management, file editing and tracking, Language Server Protocol integration, and access to tools that let the AI execute commands, search files, and modify code. The project is now archived and has continued under the name Crush, developed by the original author and the Charm team.
