Homies is a reproducible dotfiles and package management system for Linux and macOS built on Nix. The project allows users to install a curated set of development tools and configurations—including customized versions of Neovim (with Lua scripting support), tmux, and other utilities—that persist across shells and system updates. Installation and management are handled through Nix commands, with the ability to update, build, and roll back configurations using Nix's reproducibility features. The project was created by nmattia and includes documentation on Lua function loading in Neovim and sandboxed build configuration for macOS and Linux systems.
