Tech stack & purpose

Unexpected Keyboard is a lightweight and privacy-conscious virtual keyboard application for Android that allows users to type additional characters by swiping keys toward the corners. Originally designed for programmers using Termux, the application is now suitable for everyday use and contains no ads. The project is open source and was partially funded by the NLnet foundation for development of its spell-checking feature. The application is built for Android and includes compose sequence functionality, with translations managed through Weblate.
