Tech stack & purpose

Skills is a collection of agent skills developed by Matt Pocock for coding and productivity work. The project addresses common failure modes in AI-assisted development—misalignment between developers and agents, verbose output, buggy code, and architectural decay—through small, composable skills designed around software engineering fundamentals. The skills are organized into promoted buckets (engineering and productivity work) and non-promoted ones (miscellaneous, in-progress, and deprecated), each with documentation and configuration for use with Claude Code (via the official marketplace plugin) or other agents like Codex (through the skills.sh installer). The repository uses changesets for versioning, includes architecture decision records, and provides setup scripts to symlink skills into local agent directories so that pulling updates keeps installed skills current.
