Tech stack & purpose

MongooseIM is a robust, scalable XMPP server built in Erlang by Erlang Solutions, designed for enterprise instant messaging platforms and large installations. The system is fault-tolerant and supports clustering across multiple machines, accepting client sessions through multiple protocols including vanilla XMPP, REST API, WebSockets, BOSH, and SSE. As a complete platform, MongooseIM includes backend and frontend components along with supporting tools such as a test suite, metrics collection, load testing capabilities, and monitoring server.
