Tech stack & purpose

Ghost is an independent technology platform for modern publishing, memberships, subscriptions, and newsletters. Built with JavaScript and Node.js, it provides a web application that serves as both a content management system and publishing engine. The project is organized as a monorepo using pnpm workspaces, with a React-based admin interface gradually replacing legacy Ember components, alongside public-facing apps for comments, signups, search, and portal functionality. Development relies on Vite for builds, TailwindCSS for styling, Vitest for testing, and a centralized internationalization system supporting over 60 locales.
