Tech stack & purpose

Linux Notification Center is a notification daemon for Linux written in Haskell that displays desktop notifications received via D-Bus in the upper right corner of the screen. Beyond showing transient notification popups, it maintains a persistent notification center that stores notifications even after they disappear, and offers optional customizable buttons with shell command execution. The project is built with Haskell, GTK, and CSS, and supports extensive configuration through YAML files and CSS styling, including scriptable notification modifications, markup and HTML entity parsing, progress bars, sliders, and action buttons with GTK icons.
