The tool provides features including automatic linking of terms to definitions, automatic ID generation, textual shortcuts for common patterns, boilerplate generation, Bikeshed-flavored Markdown support, IDL processing, and railroad diagram generation. Bikeshed is written in Python, processes `.bs` source files into HTML output, and can be run locally or accessed online through spec-generator.
