Tech stack & purpose

This repository contains the working materials for an Internet-Draft specification on Hybrid Public Key Encryption (HPKE), a cryptographic standard in the problem domain of public-key encryption schemes. The project is maintained under the IRTF CFRG (Internet Research Task Force Crypto Forum Research Group) and can be built into formatted documentation using Make. The repository also serves as a reference catalog of existing HPKE implementations across multiple programming languages including Go, Rust, C, C++, Python, JavaScript, Java, Swift, Ruby, Zig, and F*, with implementations provided by organizations such as Cisco, Cloudflare, Mozilla, Google, and Apple.
