cldr-staging is a repository containing proposed production data for the Common Locale Data Repository (CLDR). It houses XML and text data files organized across multiple domains including BCP 47 language tags, text collation, character casing, date-time formatting, message formatting, character segmentation, number formatting rules, locale identifiers, and Unicode transforms. The repository also contains extensive test data for validating datetime formatting, grapheme cluster boundaries, unit conversions, and keyboard layouts, with specifications referencing the LDML (Locale Data Markup Language) standard and Unicode technical reports. The project is maintained by Unicode, Inc., with copyright dating to 1991–2020.
