Tech stack & purpose

This repository hosts the Web IDL Standard, a specification for interface definition language used in web platform technologies. The specification is written in Bikeshed markup along with Ecmarkup tags and is maintained by WHATWG (the Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group), following their contributor and committer guidelines. The project supports local building and deployment through Make and npm, and coordinates with multiple rendering engines including Gecko, WebKit, and Chromium, as well as related testing and parsing tools across the web platform ecosystem.
