Tech stack & purpose
FlatLaf is a Java Swing Look and Feel implementation that provides modern, flat-design themes with support for Darcula and IntelliJ-style appearances. Built in Java and designed for Swing applications, the project is organized into multiple sub-projects including core functionality, demonstration, extras with additional components, font bundles (Inter, JetBrains Mono, Roboto, and Roboto Mono), and a comprehensive pack of IntelliJ themes. FlatLaf Extras offers SVG icon support via JSVG, additional UI components like tri-state checkboxes, animated theme switching, and inspector tools for UI development and debugging. The project is maintained by FormDev and distributed through Maven Central, with binaries also available for direct download.
