Tech stack & purpose
Swagger Validator Badge is a tool for validating Swagger and OpenAPI specifications in JSON or YAML format, supporting versions 2.0 and 3.x. It generates a badge that can be displayed on websites to indicate whether an API specification is valid, and provides an online version hosted at validator.swagger.io as well as a Docker image for local deployment. The project is built as a Java application using Maven and Jetty, and uses Swagger Parser for semantic validation along with optional JSON Schema validation. It is maintained by the Swagger API team and includes both a web UI and programmatic interfaces via cURL or direct HTTP requests for validating specifications.
