Tech stack & purpose

This repository is the canonical location for development and documentation of the inter-blockchain communication protocol (IBC) for the Cosmos network and interchain ecosystem. It consolidates design rationale, protocol semantics, and encoding descriptions for IBC across both the core transport, authentication, and ordering layer (IBC/TAO) and application layers. The repository includes IBC Link, a relayer implementation written in Go that submits packets through an ICS26Router with attestation proofs, and maintains comprehensive end-to-end acceptance tests that drive the relayer through its public CLI and relay real IBC packets through attestation light clients, covering transfer, general message passing, and token functionality across multiple chains.
