Tech stack & purpose
The Universal Resolver is an implementation of decentralized identifier (DID) resolution that supports resolving DIDs across many different DID methods according to W3C DID Core 1.0 and DID Resolution specifications. It is a work item of the Decentralized Identity Foundation's Identifiers & Discovery Working Group. The project is built with Docker and Docker Compose for deployment, uses bash scripts and Python for tooling and automation, and includes GitHub Actions for continuous integration and deployment to Kubernetes on AWS. The resolver can be deployed locally or accessed through a DIF-hosted test instance, and it provides multiple driver implementations for different DID methods.
