Tech stack & purpose

SLIP is a repository of SatoshiLabs Improvement Proposals, extending the Bitcoin Improvement Proposal process to document technical decisions and features for SatoshiLabs projects that fall outside the scope of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. The repository contains standard specifications and informational documents covering cryptographic protocols, key derivation schemes, wallet formats, and related technologies, including proposals for hierarchical key derivation, secret sharing, encryption methods, and FIDO2 credential handling. Each SLIP provides a concise technical specification and rationale for its proposed feature, with documents tracked through a formal status process from draft to final acceptance.
